Dorothy Faye Crowson Brummett

Dorothy Faye (Bryant) Crowson Brummett, 91, of Mt. Ida, passed away July 16, 2023. Dorothy was born October 20, 1931 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Charlie Bryant and Marie (Rowland) Bryant.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clarence Richard Crowson and William Allen Brummett; grandson, David Owens; and sister, Shirley Seiber.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Cindy Crowson, Mike Crowson (Karen), Trena Smith (Terry), and Alita Allen; grandchildren: Angie Johnson, Jerron Gates (Erica), Greg Henderson (Brandie), Chelsea Jones (Matt), Ricky Crowson (Shaylynn), and Daniel Allen (Christina); 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bill Bryant of Dallas, TX and Leland Bryant of Hawkins, TX; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will all miss her dearly.

Dorothy loved many things. She loved to watch the birds visit and got such joy from simple things like digging in the dirt and coaxing her flowers to grow. She loved a good potluck and gatherings with her “Little Fir” family. But, more than anything Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 – 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 20^th with Funeral Service following at 12:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St. Benton, 72015. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church of Benton Senior Adult Programs or Little Fir Landing Concessions Fund.
