Dorothy Harmon

Dorothy Nell Harmon passed peacefully on September 17, 2026. Born February 5, 1943, in Utica, Mississippi to T.D. and Evelina Pritchard, Dot lived a life full of grace, love, and vibrant energy.

Dot was known for her absolute love of butterflies, hummingbirds, and working in her flower beds. She could often be found tenderly nursing the very flowers that would draw the creatures she adored towards her. She loved sending cards, attending church, traveling with family and special friends, often gathering with them wherever they may be to celebrate all manner of occasions with music, dancing, and fellowship. Every moment spent together, she treasured.

Dot was a graduate of Utica High School. She spent 31 years in the banking industry before retiring from Vicksburg Mutual Credit Union and moving with her husband, Malcolm, to Hot Springs, Arkansas to be closer to their only daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Both Dot and her husband Malcolm became members of the Center Fork Baptist Church family.

Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Malcolm Harmon; daughter, Tamara Wilson; parents, T.D. and Evelina Pritchard; and eldest brother, Wesley Pritchard. 

She is survived by her brother, Wiley Pritchard, Sr.; son-in-law, Dusty Wilson; grandchildren, Tabatha Wilson and Jeremiah Wilson; and her nieces and nephew.

Services are to be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 am. 

Interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family is honored to have the following individuals serve as pallbearers; Dusty Wilson, Mike Poteet, Tom Ledbetter, Jim Pennington, Jimmy Oliver, and Allen Bass.

Honorary pallbearers, to whom Dot considered endearing and life-long friends, include; Vicki (Tom) Wilson, Gloria (Mack) McGuffie, Dale and Ike Barnes, Monica and Donnie Tedford, Jack and Linda Hollingsworth, Kathy and Jamie Harvey, John and Denise Morton, Sam Mullins and the Pairs and Spares Sunday school class, and Connie Poteet.

She will be deeply missed but forever in the hearts of her family, life-long friends, and a host of church family. Like a butterfly, Dot brought color and joy to our world, leaving behind beautiful memories that will never fade.
