Dorothy Caldwell

Dorothy Hudson Caldwell of Little Rock died March 7, 2019 at the age of 82. She was born on June 20, 1936 in Damascus, Arkansas to Opie and Lucille Davis Hudson. Her mother died at a young age while in mid-term pregnancy. Young Dorothy and her older sister, Alba, were blessed with a new family when Opie married Helen Onstott, who was also widowed and came with two boys, Jerry and Dan, to make a happy, loving home.

Dorothy lived in Little Rock until the end of WWII when the family moved to the Sardis Community. During her adult years she worked at several businesses in Little Rock until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking for the family on holidays and was known for her desserts. Dorothy survived a severe auto wreck in 2005 and then suffered a major stroke in 2009 which resulted in her need for living assistance the past ten years.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Charles Crone (Cindy) of Little Rock and Randy Crone of New Orleans; daughter, Jamia Looper; grandsons, Andrew Crone (Laura) of Little Rock and Shawn Looper of Fayetteville and Johnathan Crone; great grandson, Charlie Crone; sister, Alba Cerosky of Ohio; brother Dan Onstott (Harriet) of Cabot and many loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, brother, Jerry Onstott and brother-in-law, Don Cerosky.

The family wishes to thank Woodland Hills Skilled Nursing Center and Kindred Hospice for her care over the past years and months.

At Dorothy's request, there will be no funeral services.
