Dorothy M Nooner

Dorothy Matthews Nooner, widow of the late Neidth Nooner, age 86, of Conway, Arkansas, died Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born at home near Cadron Creek to the late E.B. and Alma Matthews.

She was an avid vegetable and glower gardener. Winning many blue ribbons from the Faulkner County Fair. She was known by many names: daughter, sister, wife, mother, Aunt Dot, Miss Dorothy, Granny Dorothy and Grannymom.

She had a passion for sewing, cross-stitching, crocheting and cooking. Anyone that knew her for any length of time had something made by her hands.

Children are Connie Alred, Janet Crownover (Jim), and Sandra Alred. Step-children are Joe Nooner (Sharon), Elaine Hughes (Bill), and the late Nancy Weaver (Frank). Ms. Nooner had 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Survived by best friend, Jenny Rushing of 65 years.

Visitation will be at Griffin Leggett Conway on Wednesday, August 30, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. immediately followed by a procession and graveside service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster at 3:00 p.m.
