Dorothy Lou Duty Martin, 84, of Little Rock, died Friday, November 3, 2017 after a long illness. She was born October 18, 1933 in Clarksville, Arkansas, graduating high school there. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Dero and Fannie Duty; a brother, Dero "Bud" Duty; and a sister, Theresa Duty Jones. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Martin of Little Rock; sister, Francis Skaggs (Lester) of Clarksville; daughters Rebecca Martin Hamner (Buddy) of Little Rock and Linda Martin Arrington (Jeff) of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren April Hamner Hicks (Jake) of Okinawa, Japan; Paul D. Arrington of Tyler, Texas; Leah M. Hamner of Maumelle; and Mark W. Arrington (Chelsea) of Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchildren Samantha and Austin Hicks of Okinawa; Liam Arrington of North Carolina; in-laws Connie Staley (Eddie), Elaine Hickman (David), Patsy Bridges, and Jim Martin (Becky); and nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mabelvale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Marble officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be at a later time. Memorials may be made to Mabelvale United Methodist Church. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
