Dorothy Woodruff

Dorothy Chatelain Woodruff, age 85, stepped into eternity on February 11, 2022.

She was born on March 27, 1936 to Benedict and Constance Chatelain of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she grew up.  She later married Jimmy Glen Woodruff and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, where they raised their four children, of whom she is survived by: Connie Coleman (Cherb), Glen Woodruff (Tamra), both of Little Rock. Elizabeth McElroy (Ron) of Mayflower, and Amy Springer of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  She has eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Woodruff, her parents Benedict and Constance Chatelain, her brothers Robert Chatelain and Richard Chatelain, and one grandson, Nathan Woodruff.

Dot was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who spent her life generously giving to others.  She loved gardening, traveling internationally with her husband, raising English bulldogs, watching Razorback sports and her beloved New Orleans Saints, playing Bridge, and laughing with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock where she formerly loved singing in the choir.  The family is planning a private celebration of life service to be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers the family recommends making donations to Hospice Home Care.
