Dorris Benton was born on August 5, 1940, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Raymond R. and Doris Pezoldt, and passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Dorris was known for her joyful spirit, warm personality, and infectious laughter. After raising her family, she owned and operated retail gift stores in Fayetteville, Springdale, and Rogers, and later served as Office Manager for Southwest Designs, where she was admired for her professionalism and genuine connection with others.

Dorris had a love for life that showed in everything she did, especially her passion for ballroom and tap dancing. Her welcoming nature and sense of humor made every gathering brighter and every moment more memorable.

She is survived by her sons Tim Benton (John Davis) and Jim Benton (Allison), her daughters Dana Savage and Lana Kofler, along with 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Dorris leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and joy that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
