Dotty Syble White

Dotty Syble White, age 92, of Glenwood, died Friday, April 26, 2013. She was born on January 23, 1921 near Bonnerdale, the youngest of twelve children of Martin Lee Howton and Mary Catherine Hallmark Howton. On October 10, 1940, she was married to Woodrow "Woody" White who preceded her in death on May 29, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lessie Hefner; her son, Ronald White; her parents; and all of her siblings. She was a retired cook with Caddo Hills Public Schools. She is survived by two grandsons, David Ponshock of Glenwood and James Ponshock of Sugarland, Texas; ten great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Howton Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be David Ponshock, James Ponshock, Presley Robertson, Cody Robertson, Lara Ponshock and Tony Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers will be James Ponshock, Jr., John Ponshock, Jacob O'Farrell, Don Hoyle, Scott Coffer, Kelly Carter and Jackie Cobb. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
