Douglas Charles Brantley

Douglas Charles Brantley "Dougger", 57, of Sherwood went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2023, after a long battle with frontotemporal dementia.  He was born on April 6, 1966, to Charles and Judy Brantley.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents and Uncle Garth Holfeld.  He is survived by his loving wife Linda; two step-children, Monica (David) Bearden of Austin, Arkansas; Eric (Kayla) McKinney of Sherwood, Arkansas; four precious step-grandchildren, Cooper Bearden; Charlotte Bearden; Easton McKinney; and Jace McKinney.  He is also survived by his sister Diana (Chris) Raines of Texas; sister in law Lisa (Paul) Pinkston of Sherwood, Arkansas; Uncle Rick (Bev) Holfeld of Canada; Aunt Marilyn Holfeld three nephews, Noah Raines; Daton Pinkston; and Dawson Pinkston; and a special family the Deaver's of Little Rock, Arkansas.  Douglas is also survived by a host of other family members and friends.

Doug was a long-time employee of Perfect Vision Manufacturing as a logistics manager, where we was loved by many. When not at work, Doug loved the beach, where he and Linda spent their summer vacation at Destin, Darius Rucker (Hootie and the Blowfish) for long car rides in his many convertibles, trips to Branson, going to Razorback Football games, and spending time family.

He had a love for dogs, especially his own.  His nickname was the "Dog Whisper" because he bonded with every dog he met.  He always carried treats in his care in case he found a stray.

Everyone who knew Doug would agree that he had a huge caring and compassionate heart, his smile was always big and infectious, and he loved helping others.  He will be missed dearly by Linda and many others.

Donations can be made in Doug's honor to: The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD); development@theaftd.org
