Son of McClusky M. Jones and Frances B. Jones. Survived by his wife of 28 years, Docia Jones, two brothers, Gerald Jones of Memphis, TN and James Jones of Fort Myers, FL and his sister, Frances D. Gunn (Albert) of Cordova, TN. Also survived by sons, Douglas W. Jones (Darla) of Magnolia, TX, Steven Jones (Belinda) of Malden, MO, Randy Jones (Jennifer) of Little Rock and Stacy Jones (Lisa) of Little Rock, and his daughter Patricia Stanley of Shreveport, LA, along with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Douglas served in the Air Force for 20 years, was a veteran of the Korean War, then worked for Baker Car and Truck Rental for 22 years before retiring in 1993. His hobbies included fast pitch softball in the Air Force and later, coaching youth baseball, fishing, golf and following the Razorbacks.
Graveside service was held on Monday, August 29, 2005 at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
