Douglas A. Reynolds

Douglas A. Reynolds passed away January 22, 2023.  He was born in Little Rock to the late Thomas Reynolds, and Doris Shockley Reynolds.

Doug Reynolds was born on November 4, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Reynolds. He is survived by his mother, Doris Reynolds, brother, John Reynolds and sister in law Kim Reynolds, his sister, Kathy Kilgo, 2 Nephews; Carter Reynolds and Jonah Kilgo, 3 nieces; Tessa Reynolds, Perri Reynolds and Violet Kilgo, 3 Aunts; Ila Shockley, Diane Shockley and Carolyn Lyons, 1 Uncle; Ronald Shockley, 3 cousins; Mark Williams, Trinna Easterday and Chris Lyons. He is also survived by his dear friend Annette Williams and her family.

Doug had a dry sense of humor and was always there for the perfect one liner that left everyone belly laughing. He repeatedly told his brother, John and sister Kathy that, “Life was a lot simpler as an only child, and then you guys had to come along and mess it up!”
Doug was always neat and tidy and meticulous in his care for his things and collections. Doug was a collector. He collected many things including coins, model airplanes, corvettes, and antiques.
He was a history buff, but especially loved WWII history. He traveled all over from Hawaii to Germany to see WWII planes, ships and aircraft, and could tell the stories of the war in great detail.
Doug loved music. He went to UCA on a Violin scholarship and continued to play violin and other instruments for fun during his life. He was a good singer and purposely scared us more times than we can count, in our 1200 square foot house, suddenly blaring his Kenwood stereo system and singing at the top of his lungs to his favorite rock bands.
Underneath all his jokes and humor was a sensitive soul. Doug prayed some of the most beautiful prayers heard and expressed his love and faith in God throughout his life. He was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
