Douglas Wayne Shannon, 53, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. He was retired from HF Scruggs, served in the Marine Corp Reserves and a member of 7th Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nancy; mother, Geraldine Green; mother-in-law, Gwen Fisher; five children, Jessica Shannon, Patricia Shannon, Anthony Pye, Amber Pye and Courtney Pye; five grandchildren, Kyleigh, Traylen, Alex, Peyton and Skylia; two sisters, Lorie Mavity (Jeff) and Cheryl Oliver (Glen) and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William Douglas Shannon; and daughter, Karissa Shannon.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
