Dr. W. Dale Morris

Dr. W. Dale Morris, 86, of Little Rock, died April 1, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1939, and grew up in Little Rock. After high school, he attended Abilene Christian University in Texas and then attended UAMS medical school. He was a retired surgeon who had a decades-long career in the Little Rock medical community. He has left a great legacy of being known for the caring and compassionate care he provided to his patients.

Dale was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family vacations were spent at our country's national parks and not amusement parks. As much as he loved the outdoors, it did not outweigh his love of God. He was a strong man of faith and was a lifelong member of Mabelvale Church of Christ, where he also previously served as an elder.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Morris, and his parents, William "Billy" and Charlie Dee Morris.

He is survived by one son Scott (Robin) Morris of Fayetteville, Ark.; a daughter Jill (Brad) Horton of Little Rock; four grandchildren: Denver (Alison) Morris of Fayetteville, Olivia (Kyle) Kelsay of Kansas City, Luke (Brittney) Horton, and Jenna Horton, both of Little Rock; and one great granddaughter Ava Kelsay of Kansas City. He was anticipating the arrival of a second great granddaughter this summer.

He was a member of the US Air Force and served in Vietnam as part of a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) unit. He was also a Bronze Star recipient.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Mabelvale Church of Christ. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church, beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be private.
