Born to the late Harvey and Grace Weaver, Dwell was one of seven siblings, growing up in a household filled with love. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jeral and Ruel; and a sister, Alveta. Dwell is survived by Judie Weaver, his beloved wife of 64 years, as well as three wonderful children: David Weaver (Lynette), Deborah Weaver, and Rebekah Nolasco (Elias). He was survived by three siblings: Paul, Gelene, and Shirley. Dwell was “Papaw” to four grandchildren: Amanda Roberds (Aaron), Seth Weaver (Anna), Sebastian “Tony” Turner (Sarah) and Titus Turner (Tara); as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. His love and guidance shaped our lives, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Dwell’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. As an Apostolic preacher, he touched the lives of many while evangelizing and preaching throughout the South. He started attending First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock in the late 1960s under the leadership of Bishop A.O. Holmes. He was a dedicated member until his death.
Dwell also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid Crappie fisherman. His legendary fish fries fed hundreds of people throughout the years. He was also a dedicated deer hunter. His stories of fishing trips and hunting adventures will be fondly remembered for many years to come. His garden and bees were a source of pride with his produce and honey being enjoyed by many.
Dwell Weaver’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Dwell’s life will be held at First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock. Visitation will begin at Noon, with the funeral to follow at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 6, 2024. He will be interred at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
