Earl Burton

Earl Burton, age 91, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Hot Springs. He was born June 21, 1926 in Okolona to the late Robert Lawrence and Vina Huff Burton. Earl was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.

He was a mechanic and retired manager of Arkadelphia Water Utilities. Earl was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in both the U. S. Army and Navy. His hobbies were doing yard work, carpentry and enjoyed staying busy all the time.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Verna Stringfellow.

Survivors are his wife of sixty-fours years, Vivian (Meador) Burton; two daughters, Relda Pittman and husband Archie, Gina Daniell and husband Keith both of Arkadelphia; three grandsons, Matthew Pittman and wife Jennifer of Arkadelphia, Justin Daniell and wife Emily of Arlington, Texas, Craig Daniell and wife Kelsi of Alexandria, Virginia; two granddaughters, Nikki Thomas and husband Ray, Sydney Miller and husband Cody both of Arkadelphia; two step-grandchildren, Charles Pittman and wife Gayla and Angela Richerson both of Arkadelphia; great-granddaughters, Kacie and Jancey Thomas; great-grandson, Max Daniell; one sister, Ann Whistle of Texarkana, AR.; three nephews and one niece.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 23rd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Bro Greg Latham officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will 6:30 - 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Third Street Baptist Church.
