Earl Edward Poe, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, raised in St. Louis, Missouri and Little Rock, he graduated from Little Rock High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Korea and a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. Earl was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. One of his biggest joys in life was coaching his sons at Junior Deputy Baseball Park.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Edward Davenport, adoptive father, Paul Edgar Poe, mother, Elise Lyle Poe, his wife of 55 years, Beverly "GaGa" Poe and beloved daughter, Allison Paige Poe. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (Monica) Poe and David Poe; grandchildren, Michelle (Jason) Stewart, Chris Poe and Andrew Poe; and great-grandchildren, Emily Stewart, Evan Stewart and William Stewart.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), followed by interment with Military Honors at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Memorials may be made to Junior Deputy Baseball, P.O.
