Earl Torrence

Earl Torrence Jr., age 53 of Benton, AR entered into rest on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010. Earl lived in Benton with his wife, Bobbie Torrence. He is survived by his mother, Maudie Torrence of California and parents: Earl Torrence Sr. and Helen Torrence, his spouse: Bobbie Torrence, his children: Mekisha and Earl Torrence III of Chicago, IL, LaTika Nelson, Twyla and Alishia Torrence of Orlando, FL, Chuck Nelson of Washington, Jeremiah and Elisa Dempsey and Misty Shelton of Benton, AR, two sisters: Barbara Shiffield and Betty Flowers Watson both of Camden, AR, four brothers: Dewayne, Gary, and Kenneth Torrence of California, and Gregory Smith of Camden, AR. Earl was the adored grandfather of 13 grandchildren, uncle to a host of nieces and nephews and had many friends. Earl was a proud member of the United States Army. He received numerous decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in Benton, AR with Phil Davis and Ric Burrow officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in Benton. A celebration of Earl's life will be held Wednesday, May12th, 2010 at 11am at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Arkansas State VA Cementary at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in his name at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home located at 322 N.
