Earl Whatley

Earl Whatley, 89, of Little Rock, AR died June 21, 2013. He was born in Jena, LA to the late Sam Whatley and Ellen Alberta McCollum Whatley. He served as a corporal in the 609th Tac Cont Squadron in the Army Air Corp during World War II and received the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Earl was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his children: Brenda Hicks (Allen), Delores Casey (Larry), and Steven Paul McDonald; grandson Charles Wayne Hicks, and brother, Travis Whatley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Geneva Peel Whatley; siblings: Hazel Waitz, Fay Ashcraft Smith, Roy Whatley and Mary Dolci; and a granddaughter, Jenifer Marie McQuerry.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, June 24, 2013 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 501-758-1170. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
