Ebony Ann Houpt Vallun, 56, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away September 7, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospice. She was born September 14, 1960 in Little Rock to John Edward and Anna Frances (Parrott) Houpt. Ebony was a certified nursing assistant and home caregiver. She dearly loved those she cared for. Family said she was a "tough, old bird" who fought hard throughout her battle with cancer, enduring chemotherapy, medications, and complications. During her treatment, she never complained, but rather endured with a positive attitude. Ebony was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Frances Parrott Houpt. She leaves to cherish her memory her father, John Edward Houpt of Bauxite, Arkansas; son, Robert Champagne of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Tracy Montgomery and husband Stephen of Alexander, Arkansas; uncle, Robert Wesley Houpt and wife Barbara of Bauxite, Arkansas; and many more family members and friends who love Ebony and will miss her always. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
