A life filled with faith, service, and unwavering kindness, E.C. Webb embarked on his eternal adventure on February 24, 2026. He was a beacon of love and compassion, revered by all who had the privilege of meeting him.
A lifelong member of Landmark Baptist Church, E.C. was first and foremost a devoted Christian, never hesitating to ask others if they were ready to meet their heavenly Father. His generosity knew no bounds—he never turned away a neighbor or anyone in need, always going out of his way to show his love for friends and family.
A proud veteran and a licensed pilot. E.C. served honorably in both the Marine Corps in the South Pacific and the Navy during the Korean War. Though he shared many stories from his time in service, he always humbly insisted that others were more deserving of recognition.
His warmth and sincerity left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered, ensuring that every conversation ended with a smile and a deep sense of care. His beautiful spirit will live on in the cherished memories of those who knew him.
E.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Webb and Elizabeth Webb, his loving wife of 65 years, Helen E. Webb, his sister Ruth Huffstutlar, and two brothers, Billy Dee Webb and Jarrel Dean Webb. He leaves behind his sister, Juanita Rea, his loving son, Michael Ryan Webb, and daughter, Lizz Webb Chambers; his beloved grandchildren—Michael R. Webb Jr., Clifton D. Chambers, Zachary S. Webb, and Kara Webb Rhoad—along with seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 2, at 1 pm, at Landmark Baptist Church, followed by a celebration of his extraordinary life at 2 pm. Interment will take place at Landmark Cemetery.
His legacy of love, faith, and service will endure as long as he is remembered. He was loved. He was admired. And his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
During the service, we invite family and friends to step forward and share a brief story, memory, or reflection celebrating E.C.’s life. Your words will help paint a fuller picture of the man we all loved.
