Ed L. Owen, 96, passed away August 23, 2026 at his home.  Ed was born February 8th, 1930 in Harrisonville, Missouri to Dr. E.H. and Elva Finney Owen.

Ed was married to Jane Holland on August 12, 1955 in Mineral Wells, Texas.  They have shared 71 years of wonderful memories.

Ed served as a deacon at New Covenant Church, which is now Centerpoint Church.  Ed was a successful businessman, where he owned Owen Drilling and Emery Pump Service for 45 years.  Ed served on the Board of the Arkansas Water Well Commission for over 10 years.

Ed loved to travel.  He and Jane were fortunate enough to be able to travel to all 50 states.  His favorite past time was reading.

Ed is survived by his wife, Jane; two sons:  Russell (Teresa) and Emery; one daughter, Charlotte; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Kay; his parents; and one sister, Mary Ellen.

Family expresses their gratitude to all of Ed's caregivers, especially Elite Hospice, for providing such compassionate care.

Services will be held at Centerpoint Church on Friday, August 28.  Visitation will be held from 19:30-11:30 AM, followed by funeral service at 11:30.  Burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander at 2:00 PM.
