Eddie Dean Wynn

Eddie Wynn, 59, of Bonnerdale, Arkansas, passed away January 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to James and Sherry (Huff) Wynn on February 9, 1963. He grew up in Arizona, Alabama, Arkansas and Texas with his younger brother and sister. He spent his time riding bikes, playing games, raising animals and working summers with his grandfather who was a father-figure after his father’s early passing. He attended several schools as his family moved a lot but attended all years of high school and graduated from Jefferson Adventist Academy (class of 1981). Eddie spoke fondly of his time at JAA where he developed lifelong friendships, an appreciation for music and a deep relationship with God. Eddie attended Southwestern Adventist College in Keene, TX., where he studied theology, sang in the choir and where he met more lifelong friends, including Darla Dumler, his wife of 39 years (married August 13, 1983).

Eddie made a living building and designing homes, restaurants and hotels in Arkansas and Texas. He enjoyed showing off his work to family and friends and if anyone ever questioned his skills, he reminded them, “I build hotels”. While he took pride in his career work, Eddie was a man of many talents, passions and goals. He was never still and found himself busy in his garden, raising animals, leading youth ministries, cooking for his loved ones, planning events and going on cruises with as many people he could talk into joining him. He enjoyed quality time with his family and dedicated much of his time and talents to his church. Eddie was one of God’s mighty men.

Eddie was a devoted father and grandfather who did anything and everything for his family, even when not asked. He made sure his daughters and grandkids were always taken care of and supported in their own hobbies and interests. While he was a loving father to his three daughters, his love was big and he took care of many in his whole family including nephews and nieces and was a mentor to others he met who needed help, a place to stay or guidance.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Darla; children: Brittney (William) Holland of Bonnerdale, AR, Courtney (Andrew) Regester of Conway, AR, and Amanda Wynn of Bonnerdale, AR; grandchildren: Mackenzie and Ava Holland and Maxwell Wynn; his mother, Sherry Casagrande; his brother, Anthony Wynn; his sister, Tracey (Micheal) Childress; his father-in-law, Donald Dumler; his brother-in-law, Galen (Sharon) Dumler; nephews: Jonathan and David Dumler, Christopher and Stephen Sanchez; nieces: Samantha Hamner and Alexandra Sanchez; his step-brother, Gary Casagrande; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Eddie was predeceased by his father, James Edward Wynn; grandparents: Harold and Juanita Huff, Betty Wynn; his mother-in-law, Peggy Dumler; his best friend (brother) Scotty Smith; and his step-brother, David Casagrande.
