Edgar A. Rogers, age 71 of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born Oct. 17, 1945 in Sparkman, Arkansas, the son of John P. and Ruby Rogers Riley.  Edgar was a retired truck driver for Clark County Sanitation and was a Baptist by faith.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Modell Mcka Rogers and four brothers, Harvey, James (J.R.), Charles, and Issac Riley, and one sister-in-law Pam Riley.
 
Survivors include his children, Paul (Sherri) McClure of Prescott, Johnny Rogers of Arkadelphia, Eddie (Charlotte) Rogers of Hot Springs, one daughter, Miranda Rogers of Little Rock, grandchildren, Yesenia, Samantha, Seanna, Jessie Navarrete, Armani Rodriguez, Xochilt Robelledo, Ximena Robelledo of Little Rock, Kristi Rogers, Chelsea Rogers of Michigan, Caleb McClure of California,  great-grandchildren, Arcelia Levya, Trinity Rogers and Talon Rogers, three brothers, Joe (Betsy) Riley, Jimmy (Dee) Riley of Arkadelphia, George (Dianne) Riley of Bismarck, three sisters, Rebecca McJunkins of Sparkman, Vivirene Karr of Arkadelphia and Orpha Sanders of Bismarck.
 
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 23rd  at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Bro. Mel Vail officiating. Burial will be in Easley Cemetery near Gurdon. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
 
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital or the  Easley Cemetery Fund. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Kristen Brandon, Dr. Alan Atkins and nursing staff of hospice care.   Sign online guestbook at www.ruggleswilcox.com .
