Edith E. Ewing, age 95, of Bonnerdale, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013. Edith was born March 5, 1918, in Bonnerdale, the daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Pannell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ewing; her daughter, Charlene Farnsworth; and two brothers, Johnny Pannell and Austin Pannell. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, crocheting, fishing, socializing and spoiling her great grandchildren "real good". She was active in her church and community and was quite famous for her baking. She was a retired LPN and cared for many patients during her career at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center, now Mercy Hospital Hot Springs. She joined her grandchildren in Tennessee in 2006 and lived her remaining years close to both her grandchildren and great-grands. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Randy Farnsworth and his wife, Shelly, of Collegedale, Tennessee and Cyndi Higgins and her husband, Ed, of Savannah, Georgia; and her two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Maci Farnsworth of Collegedale, Tennessee. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Glen D. Farnsworth of Sparta, Tennessee; her sister-in-law, Bobbi Pannell of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2013, in the Bonnerdale Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery with Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating.
