Edna "Jean" Rowland

Edna Jean Rowland, age 78, of Little Rock passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2026 in the same city she was born in. She was born on October 11th, 1947. She was a woman whose strength and grace defined her life. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, sister, and friend whose unwavering love and dependability touched all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Rowland, mother Louise Pulliam Daniels, and grandson Alec Reed. She is survived by sisters Anna Sales and Margie Bedell, brother Richard Rowland, son Danny Hill, daughters Priscilla Austin (Jessie) and Sonja Tanner (Mike), grandchildren Daniel Hill, Joseph Austin, Billy Austin, Brittany McCaulley, Blake Austin, Jacklyn Remsing, MJ Tanner, Max Tanner, Fallon Tanner, and 15 great-grandchildren. 

Jean was one of the strongest women. She loved her career and was one of the best realtors in Arkansas and Oklahoma for well over 40 years. She was always a self-dependent and self-sufficient woman. She was the one person who everyone in the family would come to no matter the circumstance.

She was the one you could always depend on and her love never faltered. She leaves behind a legacy of extreme devotion and unwavering love for her family. She will be missed and loved every day for the rest of our lives.
