Edna Louise Wawak, age 91, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri was born January 6, 1917 in Prairie County, Arkansas to Willie Payne and Sophia Chandler Stanley and died Saturday, September 27, 2008. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-seven years, James Franklin Wawak; two sisters, Kathrine Wiley and Mae Marcotte/Britt; one grandson, William Keith Wawak. She is survived by two sons; Frank Wawak and wife, Beth of Austin, Texas, Daniel Berl Wawak and wife, Jan of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, Arkansas. Funeral will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Arkansas.
