Edward Alexander

Edward Eugene "Gene" Alexander, 83, of Cabot, Arkansas, was born June 19, 1925, to Richard Edward and Viola Alexander, and he died June 16, 2009. He was an Army veteran of WWII. A devout Christian, Gene's testimony of how God's grace is sufficient for me, tells how God's grace sustained him through his twenty-three years of illness.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Evelyn Ohme. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Freda Moran Alexander; nieces Linda Jo (Frank) Chenault of Benton and Rita (Gary) Reeves of Austin; nephews Jack L. Moran of Austin and Ronald L. Moran of Springdale.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be held at noon Friday, June 19, 2009, at Oak Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Cabot First Baptist Church.
