Edward McCulloch

Edward L. McCulloch, 94, of Maumelle passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born November 3, 1922 in Alabama to Luther and Hetha McCulloch. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Maumelle. Edward served in the United States Army in World War II in Germany and France. He was a Railroad Employee from 1941 to 1986 with Missouri and Union Pacific Railroad, and he worked twenty years in Washington D.C., as Vice President of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, representing them to congress. Edward loved the Lord, his wife, his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Louise McCulloch; step children, John Wheeler (Judy), Joy Gentry (Rodger), Jackie Wheeler, Jeffrey Wheeler; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma McCulloch Paul; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by parents; his wife of 52 years, Edith Wells McCulloch; son, Michael Edward McCulloch; siblings, Dorothy McCulloch and T.D. McCulloch.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Maumelle. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
