Listen to Obituary

Edward Harold Morris Jr., 88, of Cabot, departed this life on October 30, 2026.

He was born October 11, 1938, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Edward Harold Morris Sr. and Esther Lorene “Peggy” Hamilton Morris.

Being born with cerebral palsy never stopped Harold from living life to the fullest. He sold brooms door to door, sold newspapers for the Democrat newspaper, graduated from high school, and worked for 38 years as an elevator operator at the Arkansas Rehab in Hot Springs, missing only 14 days during that time. He retired from the Rehab on June 30, 2000, and moved to Searcy, where he attended First Baptist Church in Kensett.

He married Sandra on October 4, 2008, and instantly gained four daughters and a slew of grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; his mother and father; his brother, Marshall Morris; and his precious dog, Mandy Mae.

Harold is survived by his daughters, Dianna Clark of Cabot, Cynthia Bagwell (James) of Jacksonville, Sheryl Cooper (William) of Greers Ferry, and Brenda Garcia (Claudio) of Cabot; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tommy Morris; his niece, Roxanne; his nephew, Eric, of Little Rock; and Vickie Elrod (Greg) of Benton.

Pallbearers are Chris Whittamore, Brian Whittamore, Chris Whittamore Jr., Joshua Whittamore, Caleb Whittamore, and Shaun Ruspoli.

Honorary pallbearer is Tom Stuthard.
