Edward Melbourne Skinner, 83, of Sherwood, passed away on October 18, 2007, at St. Vincents North in Sherwood. He was born in North Little Rock on March 2, 1924, to Edward Milas Skinner and Mary Beatrice Denson Skinner. He was self-employed, retired from Skinner Mac Tool Company. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Sherwood. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two special aunts, Pauline Corder and Eva Beall. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lano Marie Peck Skinner of Sherwood; a son, Don Edward Skinner and wife, Judy of Maumelle; a daughter, Karen Sue Haynes and husband, Steven, of Brandon, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Lori Dyer of Maumelle, Stephanie Jones and husband, Tony, of Camden, and Scott Haynes and wife, Katie, of Springfield, Missouri; beloved great-granddaughter, Taryn Jones of Camden; two sisters-in-law, Ann Golden of Phoenix, Arizona and Faye Peck of North Little Rock; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom N. Hart officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
