Edward H. Stiles, age 76, of Hot Springs, AR, went to see his Lord and Savior on June 3, 2026. He passed at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Eddie was born July 19, 1949, in Tates Bluff, AR, to his parents Grover Cleveland and Mollie Ross Stiles. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the Army in 1967, honorably dedicating three years of service as a Morse Code Radio Teletype and driver for a colonel. After the Army, he became a member of the Oak Bower Church, where he lead worship services, sang many specials with his guitar, and taught Sunday school. Around this time, he also became a pilot and enjoyed many years of flying with his brother, Grover Jr.
During most of his working years, he worked for Reynolds & Ball Corp. in Kansas City. After retirement, he returned home to Arkansas, where he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing anything from gospel to Merle Haggard to Chris Stapleton with family and friends in his Fox house or around a bonfire while under the stars.
Eddie could often be found riding his Harley with his wife and loved ones or enjoying a boat ride on the lake while fishing, flying a kite or simply letting the wind take the boat "where it wants to go."
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Mollie Stiles; four brothers, Jody Stiles, Eugene Stiles, Grover Stiles Jr, and Phillip Stiles; Two sisters, Inez Stiles Finney and Pearlene Stiles Yeager; two grandsons, Jace Dalton Stiles and Nicholas Ranzey Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte Short Stiles; Sister, Faye Harris of White Oak Lake; two sons, Joey (Jamie) Stiles and Jason Stiles, both of Bismarck, AR; Daughter, Kristen Stiles of Bismarck, AR; step-son, Erik (Stephanie) Brown of Hot Springs, AR; step-daughter, Amanda (Jason) Johnston also of Hot Springs, AR; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, two loyal fur babies, Rita and Bella, as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1032 Cox Landing Road, Amity, AR, at 11:00am, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. It will be held at The Pointe on Lake Degray - Tucker Lodge. Brother Jerry Stovall will be officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the fellowship and join the family for a meal afterwards. A burial of the urn will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to Saint Judes Hospital or donations to Tunnel 2 Towers be made in Eddie's memory.
Eddie had a way of bringing joy wherever he went. His laughter, kindness, sense of humor, and love of music, made him someone that people loved to be around. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
