Edward E. Vanderburg

Edward E. Vanderburg, 75, of Little Rock departed this life peacefully on January 18, 2024, with his loving family by his side.  He was born in 1948 in Brinkley, AR to the late Doyle and Louise (Childers) Vanderburg, of Hunter, AR.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Tere Nelson Vanderburg; son, Dr. Jason (Sarah) Vanderburg of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Molly Vanderburg and Tyler Vanderburg.  He is also survived by close family members, Sheffield and Mary Lynn Nelson and their children.

Eddie graduated from Brinkley High School, attended SCA in Conway, and joined the Marine Corp. Reserves.  He began his career in the grocery business in 1968 and retired from Kroger in 2013.  He adored Molly and Tyler and spent many hours with them; he loved being their Grandad most of all.  His family, faith, and friends were very important in his life.  A Methodist by faith, he was a member of Henderson United Methodist Church.

A private family graveside service was held at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery and handled by Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henderson United Methodist Church, 13000 West Baseline Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.
