Lt. Col. Retired Edward Henry Waldheim, Sr., 88, of Maumelle passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. He served in World War II and the Korean Wars in the United States Air Force and retired after 25 years of service to his country as Lt. Colonel.
He is survived by three sons, Ed (Kathy) Waldheim, of Holcomb, Mississippi; Joe (Marla) Waldheim, of Olive Branch, Mississippi and David Waldheim, of New Orleans, Louisiana; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Al Waldheim of Venice, Florida; sister, Margaret Waldheim, of Venice, Florida; and friend and companion, Barbara Mason, of Maumelle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elyse Waldheim; and two daughters, Diane Castleberry and April Johnson.
