Edwin "Shep" Shepherd age 68 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in Hot Springs. He was born in Clark County December 16, 1940 the son of Neil and Etta Fendley Shepherd. He was retired from the shipping department of Ouachita Marine and a member of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Shepherd, one son Mike Shepherd and his wife Charlotte of Arkadelphia, Two daughters, Misty Thacker and her husband Darrell of Caney, Teresa McCaskill and her husband James of Arkadelphia, one sister, Jean Anderson of Arkadelphia, 6 grandchildren, Leslie Collie and her husband Jason, Michael "Bubba" Shepherd and Amanda Shepherd, Dakota and Taylor McCaskill, and one great grandchild, Bailey Dawn Collie.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Friday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
