Edwyna N McCoy, 93 of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on December 19, 2025, at The Springs of Premier Health and Rehabilitation.
She was a fabulous storyteller who never met a stranger and loved her family fiercely.
She was born on May 16,1932 in Liberal, Kansas to the late Mrs. Wynona (Meredith) and Mr. C.E. West.
Edwyna was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers J.N. and George West, her son G. Britt McCoy, and her husband T.R. McCoy.
Survivors include her brother Norvell (Linda) West and sister-in-law Brenda (Sutton) West. Her daughters - Wynona (Sam) Cross of North Little Rock AR, Jean (Dennis) Keel of Houston TX, and Amanda (Steven) Johnson of Lore City, OH as well as loving daughters in law Pam McCoy and Lynn Pollan. Her grandchildren – Kelli (James) McCoy, Ryan (Sofia) McCoy, Sherri Sharlon, Michael (Novie) Sharlon, Andrew (Cindy) Keel, Megan (Jerod) James, Rustin Keel, Meredith (John) Bushong, Samantha Johnson, and Carter Johnson.
She loved being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Aunt Wynnie to her numerous family members. In addition to her large loving family, Edwyna is survived by a multitude of friends from Parkstone and Levy Baptist Church as well as her community.
Edwyna had a diverse, extensive career. This included payroll clerk, secretary, bookkeeper, choir member, Sunday School teacher for more than 30 years, Women on Mission leader, seamstress, mother, and volunteer at various events. In short, there was never a challenge that she had not met.
Edwyna was a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman, and her life was an example of how to love as Christ did. As such, her wish was to donate to the Levy Baptist Church Mission Fund in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Sam Cross, Mr. Michael Sharlon, Mr. Dennis Keel, Mr. Rustin Keel, Mr. Steven Johnson, and Mr. Carter Johnson.
Visitation will take place at Levy Baptist Church from 10:00 –11:00 am with Funeral to follow on Tuesday December 30, 2025.
We would like to thank Baptist Health Medical Center of North Little Rock and The Springs of Premier Health and Rehabilitation of North Little Rock for the care, love and kindness shown to our mother.
