Eldora Elizabeth Martin, 89, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away May 1, 2022. She was born February 16, 1933 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Fred H. and Eddie B (Fulmer) Smith.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Martin; siblings, Jerrell Smith, Freeda Pierce and Dennis Smith. Eldora is survived by her brother, Sammy Smith (Nelva); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Eldora was lovingly known as “DoDo” by everyone she knew. She loved working in her flowerbed and was a good seamstress. She always loved children and was especially drawn to babies. DoDo was a very talented cook. Coconut cake was her specialty; the recipe was passed down from her mother. She was also famous for her biscuits.

She was a dedicated member of Cabot Bible Missionary Church for many years. She served as the pianist and secretary.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com for the online obituary and guestbook.
