Elenas McNabb Houston, age 93 of Okolona died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born Feb. 8, 1913 the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Lillian Borrang Stewart. She was a housewife and a member of the Merietta Pentecostal Church in Okolona. She was preceded in death by husbands, Acey McNabb and A.V. Houston, two brothers, George and Sam Stewart, one son, K.B. McNabb and two grandsons, Ricky Wayne Prince and Johnie Junior Rutherford.
Survivors include three sons, Acey McNabb of Amity, Joe McNabb of Arkadelphia and Jimmy McNabb of Gurdon; five daughters, Anna Rutherford and Barbara Hubbard both of Okolona, Margie Prince and Emma Hill both of Prescott, Alice Merchant of Madina, TX; one brother, Jessie Stewart of Gainesville, TX; three sisters, Mildred Harris and Norma Jean Castell both of Central Point, OR and May Buck of Grants Pass, OR; twenty-nine grandchildren, sixty-four great-grandchildren and twenty-four great-great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Interment will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Center Ridge Cemetery Fund Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
