Listen to Obituary

Elizabeth “Liz” Carol Stricklin, 73, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away August 21, 2025. She was born September 11, 1951 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Carolyn Barron.

Liz is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas E. Stricklin and brother, John Barron. She is survived by her children, Joshua Stricklin, Joe Stricklin, and Jonathan Stricklin (Erin Akers); grandchildren, Cameron Dallas Stricklin and Elizabeth Kay Stricklin; brother, Michael Barron (Cynthia) and sister, Melody McBride; nieces and nephew, Andrea Heintzen (George), Jack Morgan Barron, Alicia Warriner (Lee), Jessica Pauley; along with a host of family and friends.

Liz was always positive, kind-hearted, and a joy to be around. She let everyone know how beautiful they were, even if they were strangers. She loved Willie Nelson, mini–Diet Coke, CSI-Miami, and earmuffs in the summer. Liz was always positive and never angry, and she loved being with her family and friends. Her signature statements were “Momma can’t cook”, even though she could (except when she made meatloaf in a microwave); “Perfect” which could describe anything from a diet Coke to any activity; and “Giddy-up” which signified her enthusiasm for life and not that she was on a horse.

Liz was a devoted mother, aunt, and sister who doted on her sons, her late husband Dallas, and any child (or animal), who might be around to receive her love. She worked for many years as a radiology technician and even managed the office of a busy orthopedic practice, where she used the same positive outlook and energy to help the practice be very successful.

In Lieu of flowers, please spread kindness.

“The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one.”
