Ella Price

Ella Price, age 96, of Hopper, passed away on Tuesday, January16, 2018. She was born on August 28, 1921 in the Fancy Hill community of Montgomery County, the daughter of James B. Miller and Ada Susan Barnes Miller. On November 4, 1939, she was married to Burnett Price who preceded her in death on January 12, 1978. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clovis Price and Jerry Price; her granddaughter, Denise Hollifield Baker; her son-in-law, Dennis Hollifield; and her daughter-in-law, Alice Franklin Price. She was a member of the Hopper Church of Christ. She loved to quilt, and work in her yard and garden. She was great cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Hollifield; her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Lorain Price, all of Hopper; her son and daughter-in-law, James Doyle and Alice Price of Hot Springs; her daughter-in-law, Joan Price of Hopper; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Billy Golden officiating. Interment will be in Hopper Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Hollifield, Tyler Price, Anthony Price, Devin Deaton, Mike Price and Jeff Price. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
