Ellen Marie Wilkins

Ellen Marie Osborne Wilkins of North Little Rock, passed away November 8, 2023. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 25, 1940 to the late Howard F. Osborne and Thelma Hogan Davis.

Ellen graduated from Central High School in 1957 and started a forty-year career in the banking industry. Most of those years were spent at Union National Bank in the Human Resources Department. Upon retiring from the bank, she went to work part time for Literacy Action of Central Arkansas. While there she helped adults to improve their reading skills and others to improve their English.

Ellen was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and having them over for birthday dinners and holiday gatherings. She also loved to go on road trips with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis D. Wilkins; and her parents, Howard and Thelma.

She is survived by her children, David K. Wilkins, of North Little Rock and Donna Harvey (Donald), of Cabot; three grandchildren, Justin Rogers (Mariel), of Little Rock, Brittany Hicks (Jake), of Ward, and Hunter Harvey, of Cabot; two great grandchildren, Cameron and Lincoln Hicks, of Ward; sister, Rae Lynne Tuck, of Little Rock; and her nephew, Matthew Tuck, of Atlanta, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arkansas Hospice, CARTI, or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Edgewood Memorial Park, 4200 Division Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
