Eloy Garza Bynum, Jr., age 38, of Hot Springs, passed away on July 6, 2026. He was born June 21, 1998 in Harlingen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive father, Tim Bynum, and his biological father, Eloy Garza Bynum Sr.
He is survived by his adoptive mother, Vicky Bynum, and his biological mother, Maria Villareal; His brother and wife, Carlos and Ari Bynum; Sister and husband, Judy and Chris Boyles; Brother and his wife, Jay and Amber Bynum; Brothers, Anthony Garza Bynum and David Garza Bynum; Sisters, Laura Villareal, Samantha Bynum, Whitney Bynum, Rebecca Bynum, and Jamie Bynum; Nieces and Nephews, Londynn Bynum, Isak Reyna, Katalina Boyles, Aidrik Boyles, Krispen Boyles, David Boyles, Isabella Bynum, Logan Byum, and Alaina Bynum.
Eloy Garza Bynum Jr. was born in Harlingen, Texas, and was lovingly adopted by Vicky and Tim Bynum, who raised him with unwavering love and support. He grew up in Morrilton,AR where he graduated from Morrilton High School before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. During his military service, he completed a tour in Iraq, carrying with him the courage, strength, and dedication that would continue to define his life.
Following his honorable service, Eloy pursued his education at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, where he earned an Associate of Science degree. He went on to build a successful career as an Engineering Level III Technician with the Infrastructure Division at BNF Engineering/Crafton Tull for over 11 years where his hard work, intelligence, and commitment were valued by those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
More than his accomplishments, Eloy will be remembered for the incredible person he was. He was a loving brother, a proud uncle who cherished every moment spent with his nieces and nephews. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome, and his contagious laugh could brighten even the darkest days. Eloy also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Tyke and Spike, who were more than pets. they were family.
Eloy lived a life marked by service, compassion, loyalty, and love. His kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched countless lives, and the memories he created with family and friends will be treasured forever. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the impact he made will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
