Elwanda Boone

Elwanda Bowman Boone 89, of Beebe peacefully took Jesus’ hand and made her journey home on December 14, 2022, surrounded by her family. 

She was born May 8, 1933, in Union Grove-White County, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Leatrice Bowman. She married the love of her life Billy Boone on December 24, 1949. Her greatest joy was being with her family and piecing together quilts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and a brother.

Elwanda is survived by her husband of 73 years. Billy Boone of Beebe; her 5 girls, Sandra Owens (Archie) of Beebe, Debbie Moore (Jimmy) of Cabot, Kathy Andrews (Larry) of Jacksonville, Donna Harvey (Mike) of Ward and Karen Glanert (Brad) of Romance. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Lee Owens, Timmy Owens, Tonya Johnson, Sherry Mash, Kevin Moore, Norman Andrews, Richard Andrews, Joey Andrews, Renee Soellner, Sarah Stuchlik and Erik Glanert. Several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. and her sister Geneva Stroud.

The Family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice of Conway, and her loving nurses, Brandi Parker, Kathy Roper, Stephanie and Heather; and the staff of Beebe Retirement Center.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive, Beebe, AR 72012. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetry.
