Emma Jean Melton Hardin, 87, of Little Rock, passed away July 19, 2012. She was born in Cedar Glades, Arkansas to Joseph and Dora L. Meredith Melton and was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Western Union Telegraph Company.
Preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, she is survived by her daughter, Meredith Amanda Miller (Bruce), granddaughter, Cassandra Stuart (Seth), great-grandson, Johnathon Stuart and great-granddaughter, Renee Stuart, all of Little Rock; brothers, Eugene "Jeep" Melton of Arkadelphia and Robert "RD" Melton (Phyllis) of North Little Rock; and sister, Billie Jo Chapman of Niceville, Florida.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 22 from 2-4 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). The graveside service will be Monday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, No. Little Rock, AR 72116.
