Emmett D. Chapman

Emmett Chapman, 81, of Jacksonville, AR passed peacefully to his heavenly reward on August 16, 2022.

He served family and community on the Scott Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of the board of trustees of the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home and Ministries and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood and 47th Street Baptist in Levy. In 1990, Chapman Brothers Farm was recognized as the Farm Family of the Year.

Awaiting him with heavenly arms are his parents, Robert and Beulah Chapman; brothers, Wendell Chapman, Bobby Chapman; and first wife of 50 years, Remonia.

Remaining to celebrate his memory are his wife, Virginia Chapman; sons, Gary Chapman (Diane) and Greg Chapman (Kim); siblings, Dorothy Moore, Odis Chapman (Louise), Donald Chapman (Teresa), Carl Chapman (Paulette), and Kathleen Adams; grandchildren, Holland, Josh, Hunter, Meagan Chapman; great grandchild, Kamron Chapman; step children, Ruth Hall, Jason Sims, and Eric Maxwell; and a host of bonus grandchildren. He was a devoted family man who will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Saturday September 10, 2022 at 11:00AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, AR.
