Erbie Lee Meeks

Erbie Lee Meeks, age 86, of Caddo Gap, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was born on August 22, 1926 in Montgomery County, the son of Lee Monroe Meeks and Fannie Ellen Greene Meeks. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Meeks. A United States Army veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. He also loved music and was a talented musician. He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Miller of California and Lisa Garcia of Mount Ida; three brothers, Lonnie Meeks of Norman, Joe Meeks and Jack Meeks both of California; two sisters, Ruby King of California and Sarah Arlene Foshee of Mount Ida; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his cousin and friend, Necia Yehia of Canada; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2013, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Tim Love officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the McKinney Cemetery near Mount Ida. Pallbearers will be Rip Meeks, Danny Scrimshire, James Scrimshire, John McCoy, Billy Wisner and Bob Freeman.
