Ernest Bowden

Ernest Glynn Bowden, age 76, of Sherwood, died Monday morning May 25, 2009 at Arkansas Hospice Center. He was a member of Runion Baptist Church. He was a retired Lt Col US Army National Guard with 30 plus years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest v. and Retha (Heflin) Bowden; wife of 50 years Ellen Louise (Lovette) Bowden. He is survived by a daughter Sherry Bowden, Jacksonville; sons Michael and Anthony Bowden, Sherwood; granddaughters, Amber and Shawna Bowden, and Lindsey Hensley; great grandsons, Wesley Michael Bowden, and Elyjah Jacob Hensley; great granddaughter Elizabeth Lynn Hensley; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm Wednesday at Arkansas State Veterans for a 2:00 pm graveside service, Brother Charles Mayes officiating.
