Essie B. Giles, 79, of Little Rock, passed away May 2, 2011. She was born in Dermott, Arkansas to Harvey and Lucinda Stanberry McCoy.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leroy Giles, Sr., two sisters, three brothers and one grandchild, she is survived by daughters, Bunnie Wilkerson and Doris Hendrix (Michael); sons, Leroy Giles, Jr., Charles Giles, Sr. (Mary), Stanley Giles, all of Little Rock and Darryl Giles, Sr. (Holli) of Marion; special granddaughters, Dina Harper and Syneca Jones; three sisters and one brother; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Lorenzo Giles. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
