Ethel Marie Brannan Hooper

Ethel Marie Brannan Hooper, age 93, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born on February 13, 1931, in Cavallo, New Mexico to Earl and Alma Brannan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Alma Brannan; husband, Lloyd Hooper; daughter, Linda Doody; and her 6 siblings; Burl, Mary, Christine, Ben, Ruth, and Louise.

She is survived by her daughter Ruth (Rudy) Murphy, grandchildren, Latisha (Brad) Hollis, Nicholas (Tonya) Rector, Richard Lowe, Andrea Hopper, Whitney Rector, and Jacob Murphy; great-grandchildren, Emily, Justin, Sean, Jenna, Alex, Loren, Ainsley, Emerson, Steele, Reese, Layla, Rose, Mileana and Trey; great great-grandchild, Luna; and a host of other family and friends.

Ethel loved being with her family, baking for them and friends, and enjoyed gardening.  While she was a subtle woman, Ethel was very funny and an inspiration to everyone around her.  She was a prayer warrior and a beloved Daughter of Christ.

The visitation is Friday, May 24 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe.  Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery.  To view the online register, visit www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook
