Euell Lynn Adams, age 94, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2025. He was born in El Paso, Arkansas on May 5, 1931 to Ethel Neal Adams and Howard Adams.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years - Katheryn Ruth Plummer Adams; parents - Ethel and Howard Adams; brothers - Vernon Adams, O’Neal Adams and John Adams; sisters - Gladene Adams Mask and Joyce Adams Neal; and lifelong best friend, Royce Daniel.
He is survived by his son, Mark Adams; 2 daughters, Paula McCulloch (Paul) and Kristi Herrin (Joey); 3 grandchildren, Karli Miller (BJ), Molly Hudson (Kazzlee) and Emily Mills (Sean); 10 great-grandchildren, Logan Babel, Joey Babel, Parker Miller, Gavin Mills, Kyleigh Wooten, Ava Miller, Grant Mills, Connor Wooten, Kamryn Looney and Olivia Mills.
Euell attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) on a basketball scholarship and graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor Degree in Business.
After college, he and Katheryn married, and he continued working in Beebe in the grocery business - frequently with his brother, Vernon. His last 20 years in the grocery business were as Owner/Operator of Adams IGA Foodliner on Center Street. He later went on to finally retire as a Loss Prevention professional for WalMart Distribution in Searcy at age 79.
Euell joined Beebe First Baptist Church at age 12. At the time of his death he was its oldest and longest standing member. Through the years he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Treasurer and Music Director. He used his musical gifts as a choir member, soloist and as a tenor in “Freedoms Four” and other local quartets. In his last days he was frequently heard singing to his caregivers at the Beebe Retirement Center.
Euell’s favorite pastime was “cane pole” fishing for crappie with his dad and son. Many happy hours were spent camping and fishing at lakes around Des Arc and Hurricane Lake WMA.
He loved his family deeply and felt blessed to get to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His home was a place of much love and fellowship where his family gathered frequently for chats around the table and countless birthday parties.
He will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and others.
Memorials may be made to Little Rock Compassion Center lrcompassioncenter.org
