Eugenia Bess "Bibbie" Pilkinton, 87, of Little Rock, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007. Born October 17, 1920 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Eugene P. and Bess Wheeler McDaniel, she was one of the first graduates of Westark Jr. College (now known as the University of Arkansas at Ft. Smith). She taught music in the public schools of Ft. Smith (Belle Point) for fifteen years. Mrs. Pilkinton was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Daniel Louis Pilkinton; daughter, Ann Catherine Felling and her husband, Greg of Texarkana, Texas; brother, Robert W. McDaniel and his wife, Frances of Jasper, Arkansas; granddaughter, Jennie Bickham and husband, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Gracie and Marleigh Bickham; and a host of nieces and nephews. "Bibbie" was devoted to her family, her friends, and her church.
There will be visitation this evening, Wednesday, December 19 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20 at the Parkway Village Chapel, officiated by Rev. Betty Robertson and Liz Faulkner. The Graveside Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas, officiated by Rev. Garry Masterson. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Heifer International.
